Edinburghs Winter Wonderland

Edinburgh's Winter Wonderland 2007/8

Edinburgh's Winter Festivals plays host to the tenth anniversary of Britain's most beautiful outdoor ice skating rink; Edinburgh's Winter Wonderland. Set in the stunning surroundings of East Princes Street Gardens. Delight in the magical Christmas atmosphere with twinkling lights in the trees. Set beneath the dramatic Edinburgh skyline of the castle.

Edinburgh's Winter Wonderland transforms East Princes Street Gardens into an exciting world of ice and snow, providing fun, laughter, and excitement for both adults and children.

For the first time, this year there will be a kiddies' rink for children under the age of 7 years old, where doubled edged skates can be hired and skating becomes much easier. As well as the ice skating rinks, Edinburgh's Winter Wonderland includes a play area for winter sports. There is traditional food and to warm up, tea, coffee and mulled wine with minced pies.

Don’t miss the spectacular opening gala on Thursday 22 November 2007 from 5pm onwards. Including amazing ice dancing from some of the United Kingdom’s best ice skating talent.

Come along, get your skates on and be part of the magic that is Edinburgh’s Winter Wonderland.
