Chris Cox |
Chris received rave reviews for his 2006 Edinburgh debut, 'He Can't Read Minds?’ which bizarrely, was a show about mind-reading. He was also very very funny (and modest). He's incredibly accurate, disturbingly so, and his wizardry can now be heard on now BBC Radio One, where he pops up on the Chris Moyles Show. Ricky Gervais seems to like what he does, saying that "he's brilliant, he'll blow your mind" and he's won Emmys so knows a thing or two (Ricky, not Chris...he’s not that good…yet). Chris will be performing Everything Happens For A Reason fusing more magic, psychology, comedy and things like that to delight, baffle and amaze you.

Kate McLellan |
Kate is an Australian based character comedian – her one-woman show ‘The Debutante Diaries’ recently received a Barry Award nomination for Best Show at this year’s Melbourne Comedy Festival. This follows a hugely successful season at the 2006 Melbourne Fringe where she won the Best Newcomer and Best Comedy. The Debutante Diaries is an hilarious and touching portrayal of adolescence, which sees Kate deftly playing a bunch of high school kids, their parents and teachers preparing for an Australian rite-of-passage: the ‘deb ball.’

Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre |
The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre are making their debut at the Edinburgh Fringe this year having wowed audiences across the world, mostly by posting videos to YouTube and crossing their fingers. As well as you can cross your fingers when you're a pair of socks.
From their mini adaptations of classic plays and movies, through their songs and sketches, which have seen them compared to Abbott and Costello and Morecambe and Wise, the Socks have built up a body of fans from America to Australia and back. Stopping off in Scotland, where they're just as popular. And England, lots of fans there. Wales, okay, maybe not so many in Wales. Northern Ireland, quite a few there. And Norway - you get the picture. Lots of people like them on the small screen and now, hopefully, the good punters of Edinburgh will like them in the flesh. Or wool. You know what we mean.

Stuart Goldsmith |
Stuart is appearing in a double-header of scintillating stand-up, entitled Stuart Goldsmith & Jimmy McGhie. Stuart's effortless charisma and quick-fire timing were honed over a youth mis-spent as a street-performer. Playful and poignant, Jimmy combines hilarious stories with sparkling banter. Together they’re good. Consecutively, they’re unstoppable! Although a keen comedy writer, Stuart has never tried blogging before let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of kite-flying, calligraphy and learning Spanish…
